Site Survey Preparation Checklist
Use this checklist to make sure everything is ready before our surveyor arrives. A well-prepared site means a faster quote and smoother installation.

Site Access
- Confirm someone will be on-site to meet our surveyor
- Ensure the surveyor has access to all areas where signage is planned
- Arrange parking for our vehicle (van-sized)
- Provide any required site induction or visitor pass in advance
- Notify security/reception of our arrival
Site Information
- Have full site address and postcode ready
- Know the key contact person and their phone number
- Identify any access restrictions (narrow doorways, height limits, pedestrian-only zones)
- Note any working hours restrictions (e.g. site only accessible 9am–5pm)
- Flag any health and safety hazards (asbestos, fragile surfaces, live services, etc.)
Signage Details
- Identify where each sign should be located
- Measure approximate wall/surface space available (height × width in mm)
- Note the viewing distance for each sign location
- Consider lighting conditions — is the area well-lit or in shadow?
- Think about power access for illuminated signage
Design Preferences
- Have your branding guidelines or logo files available
- Collect examples of signage you like (photos, Pinterest boards, competitor examples)
- Consider material preferences (acrylic, metal, wood, etc.)
- Think about colour scheme and whether it should match existing branding
- Decide if you need internal, external, or both types of signage
Approvals & Compliance
- Check if planning permission is needed (especially for external signs)
- Confirm if landlord or building management approval is required
- Review any local council signage restrictions
- Check if listed building consent applies
- Identify any fire safety or emergency exit compliance requirements
After the Survey
- Expect a detailed quote within 2–3 working days
- We'll send design visuals for approval before manufacturing
- Installation date will be confirmed once artwork is signed off
